Linkedin IBM Quantum Summit
Summit was an event for our most active corporate partners, quantum researchers, and developers to learn about the latest announcements from IBM Quantum. The theme of this particular year (2022) was “The Next Wave,” and the 1 day event was hosted in Spring Studios, New York.

Design Brief
The team was tasked with creating a comprehensive approach to the visual identity of the live event. The approach needed to be pointed and referential to the theme of "The Next Wave," but flexible enough to be applied to a number of digital and physical surfaces.
The initial visual concepts we created and shared are below:
Project Deliverables
Aligned on a direction for the identity, we worked with The Mill to refine the concept and develop an editable tool for creating typograhic wave treatments as well as a set of motion assets. The flexibility of the typograhic tool allowed us to warp everything from phrases to single letters, which resulted in some unexpectedly fun numeric expressions for the wayfinding and, my personal favorite, coasters referencing quantum gates.
Once the identity was finalized, we worked with Drury Design to apply the concept physically to the space. Our venue, Spring Studios, was essentially a blank slate, allowing us to push for large scale typographic wall vinyls and high contrast wayfinding.
